TCCU is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to support our Human Resources team in delivering smooth, efficient processes and meaningful employee experiences. This role plays a key part in coordinating onboarding, training programs, performance review logistics, and benefits administration, while also assisting with engagement initiatives and day-to-day HR operations. Responsibilities
· Assist in recruiting efforts by managing postings and conducting initial screening and phone interviews.
· Conduct new hire onboarding, including processing required documents, creating training itineraries, delivering orientations which explain benefits, policies and procedures, and guiding new hires through their training period.
· Administer the monthly training programs for required compliance and development.
· Coordinate an annual training day in conjunction with the HR department.
· Aid in the administration and implementation of performance reviews and development plans.
· Assist the department with administration and general inquiries regarding benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, retirement accounts, and fringe benefits.
· Process weekly payroll and personnel updates within the HRIS as needed.
· In conjunction with the HR department, plan and execute team building events and engagement initiatives.
· Provide assistance with travel reservations and coordination.
· Process daily correspondence and prepare reports, presentations, and spreadsheets for the VP of HR and other members of the management team.
· Provide administrative support for policy and manual updates.
· Perform specialized or confidential administrative duties, including researching and preparing reports as needed.
· Maintain a position on the volunteering committee, providing ideas and relaying any coordination needed to the HR department.
· Utilize a range of computer applications, including HRIS, ATS, and LMS, and ensure accuracy of work.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Certification
· High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, communication, or similar field preferred.
· SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent.
· 2-3 years of experience in a similar human resources position.
· Credit union or banking experience is highly preferred.
Skills and Abilities
· Solid knowledge of employment law and core HR practices, with a commitment to compliance and integrity.
· Familiarity with learning and development strategies, including effective workplace training techniques.
· Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities smoothly.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable navigating HR systems.
· Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams.
· Exercises sound judgment and discretion when interpreting policies and making thoughtful exceptions.
· Takes initiative, follows through on responsibilities, and owns outcomes with confidence.
· Maintains professionalism and composure across a variety of workplace situations.
· Comfortable operating standard office equipment and technology in a fast-paced environment.
