We are seeking a Business Development Executive to spearhead our business development strategy, lead our growth initiatives, and manage a team focused on creating market adoption. This role is critical to scaling our marketplace and ensuring that both buyers and sellers thrive in a trusted ecosystem.

Candidates local to Indianapolis or the surrounding communities are preferred, but we are open to considering remote candidates.
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute RAMPxchange’s overall business development strategy, aligned with marketplace growth objectives.
- Identify and prioritize new market opportunities and revenue streams
Team Leadership & Management:
- Build, mentor, and manage a business development team to drive adoption and expansion.
- Set clear performance goals, track KPIs, and foster a culture of accountability and success.
Marketplace Growth:
- Drive new member acquisition (both buyers and sellers) and strengthen relationships with existing marketplace participants.
- Design initiatives to increase transaction volume, engagement, and retention across the platform.
External Events:
- Represent RAMPxchange at industry events, conferences, and forums to build brand awareness and credibility.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage analytics to evaluate business development performance and inform continuous improvement.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on progress, opportunities, and risks.
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or marketplace growth, ideally in e-commerce, SaaS, or digital marketplace environments.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, network effects, and growth strategies.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience building and scaling teams.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.Data-oriented mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategy.
- Previous experience of using a CRM tool like HubSpot
- Background in cybersecurity, IT services, or procurement marketplaces is a plus but not required.
