WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Reporting to the S&OP Manager, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust demand plan by interpreting historical data, market insights, and cross-functional input. The Demand Planner bridges Sales, Production, and Purchasing to ensure alignment, while serving as a cornerstone for generating and delivering data-driven insights across the organization.
The core goals of this role are to:
Minimize Forecast Bias Maximize Forecast Accuracy Provide meaningful insights and support to the Demand Review
This position operates with a high degree of autonomy and requires strong analytical skills, system knowledge, and business acumen. This position directly supports service level performance, inventory health, and revenue alignment by ensuring demand plans are accurate, unbiased, and actionable
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own a rolling 16-month demand forecast at the SKU-customer level, incorporating statistical, sales, and product management inputs
Improve forecast accuracy by reducing bias, applying robust analytics, and leveraging customer trends
Conduct root-cause analysis on key forecast misses and drive continuous improvement
Maintain and enhance key forecasting metrics and trackers (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias)
Lead monthly demand planning meetings with Sales, presenting data-driven recommendations
Collaborate with Supply Planning to minimize disruptions and ensure alignment
Support the evolution of the S&OP process by improving routines, reporting, data quality, and cross-functional alignment
Execute monthly forecasting procedures in Netstock
Partner with Sales, Product, and Finance to understand demand drivers and assumptions
Contribute to the continuous improvement of demand planning tools, reporting, and analytical approaches.
Provide backup support for the S&OP Analyst and Manager during absences
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Minimum 3-year college diploma or university degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field
ASCM/APICS/CSCMP certification strongly preferred
1–3 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting (Including Co-op)
Prior experience with CPFR and exposure to S&OP/IBP
Advanced MS Office skills (Excel/VBA, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Working knowledge of Power BI (dashboards, data models).
SQL familiarity (e.g., Viewpoint Sequel)
ERP experience (JD Edwards preferred)
Familiarity with demand planning systems (e.g., Netstock)
