The Syntegon Technology Services location in Raleigh, North Carolina is the headquarters of the North American Service Hub of Syntegon, which concentrates on the customer's unique requirements.

Job Description:

As a TSM (Technical Sales Manager) covering the Bristol, United Kingdom site you will be part of a team of TSM’s responsive for achieving the site sales targets with Secondary Packaging equipment including carton forming, carton closing, product handling and wraparound sleeving. This technology is focused on the food industry that includes, but not limited to, the BBB (Bars/Bakery/Biscuits), Fresh & Frozen and sleeving solutions. You will also be responsible for achieving the site sales target for a given segment of the region. You will work directly with the front-line sales team and agents, as their primary technical and application expert, to develop and manage sales opportunities whilst building the relationships. Position will be a remote position but will require presence across NAM & LAM regions with also visits occasionally to the United Kingdom. 

  • Support the Regional Sales teams and agents – Review RFQ’s/technical specifications. Develop solutions and act as a technical consultant to the client. Which includes machine training, value tools, and competitive reviews.
  • Work with the sales leadership team and Product Management to develop and drive sales strategies & plans in order to achieve the product line goals- to include geographic, customer, application, product & competitive programs.
  • Work with Product Management, Application Engineering and Engineering teams to define product line requirements and develop product line positioning and our value proposition.
  • Act as a Key Opinion Leader for the designated industry trends, technology, and competitors as related to site product portfolio.
  • Actively utilize CRM to manage sales process and track KPI’s including Sales Success Factors

 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

No direct supervision of associates is required, however, the TSM will be required to “lead” a team of internal sales associates on an as needed project basis, to set the agenda and sales goal road map.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in the Packaging or Capital Equipment Industry
  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years of previous Technical Sales Support or Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Technical Sales experience is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, effective presenter
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience with large multi-national accounts.
  • Knowledge or experience with data tracking/serialization requirements
  • Problem solver, experience with highly technical/consultative sales
  • Proven record of developing and executing sales/business development plans.
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and CRM
  • Product Management experience a plus
  • Basic understanding of contract law, terms, and conditions of sales
  • Able to use AUTOCAD software and produce simple floor plans.

 

Travel with the sales teams up to 50% (primarily domestic, mainly in NAM region) to present technical solutions and assist with closing of projects. Valid driver’s license and passport are required.

Additional Information:

The anticipated starting salary for this position is $105,000/ per year. 

Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
