Advocare Main Line Pediatrics is in search of a registered nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, works well in a team environment and has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering professional, compassionate nursing care to patients in a clinical setting. This role involves assessing patient health needs, administering treatments and vaccines, coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and providing education to patients and families.

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Registered Nurse Essential Functions:
- Provides general nursing care to patients.
- May administer prescribed medications, immunizations and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials.
- Prepares equipment and aids providers during treatment, examination and testing of patients.
- Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments.
- Educates patient/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Greets patients and prepares them for provider examination. Screens patients for appropriation information. Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Maintains/reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
- Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies.
- Perform other duties/tasks as requested by providers, coordinators, and management in accordance with office procedures/policies.
- Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion when handling patient's medical records and information.
Registered Nurse Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and regulations to give and evaluate patient care
- Knowledge of how to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.
- Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.
- Skill in taking medical histories to assess medical condition.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Must have an active RN license
- RN degree required; BSN preferred
- Minimum one-year professional nursing experience in a primary care office preferred
