If so, we are looking for a dynamic and visionary Director of Engineering to join our team and lead our engineering efforts towards success.
As the Director of Engineering, you will play a critical role in shaping our technical strategy and driving the execution of our engineering initiatives. You will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Your work tasks/responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for developing and maintaining our software products and solutions, with a strong focus on software quality and operational efficiency.
Execute the organization’s technical vision, strategy, and roadmap within the engineering realm, emphasizing the integration of AI-powered tools to enhance quality assurance and test automation processes.
Champion best practices in software development, quality assurance, and test automation—including API testing, UI testing, scalability & performance testing—while leveraging AI-driven solutions to optimize workflows and increase accuracy.
Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and features on time and within budget, utilizing AI technologies to accelerate testing cycles and improve defect detection.
Drive the adoption of cloud-native technologies and practices, leveraging platforms such as AWS and Azure to build resilient and scalable systems, and incorporate AI tools for continuous monitoring and predictive analytics to optimize system reliability.
Promote a culture of learning and growth by providing opportunities for professional development and skill advancement, including upskilling team members in the effective use of AI tooling for software quality and automation.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the health and effectiveness of the engineering platform and organization, integrating AI-based analytics for deeper insights and proactive issue resolution.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, especially advancements in AI for software testing and development, and evaluate their potential impact on our products and engineering practices.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where diverse perspectives are valued and respected, encouraging innovation in the adoption of AI tools and techniques for continuous improvement in software quality.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 18 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in a management or leadership role within software quality assurance or engineering.
Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams within a software engineering or quality assurance organization, with a strong focus on building a culture of excellence and accountability.
Robust technical background with practical experience in software development for test automation—preferably using TypeScript or Java—and a deep understanding of automation best practices and tools.
Excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple teams, schedules, and projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards for software quality and operational performance.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments and drive continuous improvement in quality assurance processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands on knowledge of BDD, Node JS, UI testing
Experience in test frameworks such as jest/mocha/protractor/jasmine/cucumber.
Hands on knowledge of automation framework - playwright, puppeteer, WDIO, Cypress.
Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or similar frameworks.
Experience working with international teams in various time-zones.
Any prior experience on Microsoft development stack is nice to have.

HYBRID – This role will be based out of The Leela Office located on the 4th Floor, Airport Road, Kodihalli, Bangalore- 560008. Our expectation at this time, is that you would work from our office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays with flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
