Location: Goulburn - Hybrid opportunity. In-office requirement 2-3 days a week as a minimum, which could be subject to change based on applicable DCS workplace policies.

About the team
Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services.

We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.

What you will do

  • You will be part of a high performing specialised Workers Compensation Payments team processing workers compensation wages across multiple agencies for NSW Government.
  • You will be responsible for a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims and will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure entitlements are processed in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • You will provide employees with a high level of customer service and advice regarding their claims.

Government Shared Services deliver business services for Communities and Justice Divisions which includes Finance and Payroll Services.  The Workers Compensation Team is located within Department of Customer Service- General Accounting

About You

Successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in:

  • Interpretation and application of a range of legislation and internal guidelines and policies relating to workers compensation
  • Previous payroll experience (advantageous)
  • Experience providing employees with a high level of customer service and advice regarding their claims
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Confident communication and critical thinking skills
  • Initiative, with attention to detail.
