  • Permanent Full time role opportunity for a Theatre Scheduler to work in the Orthopaedic Institute at Macquarie University Hospital.

  • Competitive base salary of $68,169 (Administration Officer – Level 4) as per the Enterprise Agreement. The Role

The Orthopaedic Institute at Macquarie University Hospital is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Theatre Scheduler. In this role, you will coordinate surgical bookings, liaise with clinical teams and patients, and support the delivery of seamless theatre scheduling services across the Orthopaedic specialty.

You will be working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and admin teams to ensure the accurate and efficient management of operating lists. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in healthcare administration and an understanding of surgical bookings.

To Apply

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1 page cover letter.

  • Experience in a Healthcare Administration (scheduling or surgical bookings preferred)

  • Theatre experience and the scheduling of surgeries is desired.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams

  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and electronic health records

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
