Position Summary
The Assistant Golf Coach at Concordia University Wisconsin campus is responsible for assisting the head coach in administering the following aspects of the golf program including: coaching, recruiting, fund-raising, and compliance with CAA, and conference rules/regulations. The Assistant Golf Coach reports to the Head Golf Coach. This is a part-time position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid the head coach with practices, transportation of the teams, and recruiting.
- Vast knowledge of the game of golf.
- Have a philosophy (style) of gameplay on the course.
- Great verbal communication skills, both with the head coach and the players.
- Motivated to teach the golf swing, mental toughness, and resiliency.
- Creative in helping fundraising efforts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent organizational abilities, professional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a schedule
- Knowledge in the trends of the respective sport
- Available evenings and weekends
- Occasional overnight travel in season
- Extensive travel with teams
- Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)
Education and Experience
- High school Diploma.
- Knowledge of the game, competency to demonstrate and a working understanding of the rules along with course management are critical for success.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a part-time position. Starting wage may be determined upon education and/or experience.
