About the Role & Program
This role is part of the Disney Signature Experiences Public Relations team, which develops and executes consumer media communications strategies that drive traditional and social media coverage to increase awareness for Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions, Disney Vacation Club, Aulani, Storyliving by Disney, Disney Cruise Line, and Golden Oak.
You will support a variety of exciting projects, including announcing new itineraries, new resorts, new cruise ships, and exploring new horizons with Disney Signature Experiences!
The intern will report to the Senior Manager of Public Relations
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Orlando, Florida, from January 2026 through June 2026
What You Will Do
Support domestic and international PR efforts that target a selection of media outlets, including print, online, and broadcast. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responding to media inquiries and assisting with media relationship management.
- Sustaining media contact and project databases.
- Crafting and maintaining coverage and project reports.
- Maintaining news media websites and press materials archive.
- Leading news photography library.
- Developing press event materials (i.e., media invitations, itineraries, and collateral).
- Developing story angles and media pitches.
- Drafting various types of editorial content, including news releases, fact sheets, and other media materials.
- Produce photos for editorial and social use and develop news-style photo captions.
- Ideating and producing video content for broadcast and online channels.
- Assisting with planning and driving media FAMs and press events.
- Coordinating media visits.
- Being responsible for the development of media amenities and department assets.
- Providing general administrative support
- Assisting with special projects as needed.
Please Apply If You Are/Have
- Proficiency with Associated Press writing style.
- Previous roles in Journalism, Public Relations, Media Relations, or similar experience in writing/reporting and project management.
- Validated research skills and an understanding of how the news media works.
- The ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Confirmed ability to communicate ideas clearly and succinctly, both verbally and visually.
- A self-starter with proven initiative and skill to work independently.
- Strong skills to excel within a team environment.
- The ability to work in an environment that promotes and celebrates diversity and inclusion.
- Motivated, positive demeanor, and a zeal for communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite products.
It Would Also Be Great If You Have
- Video production experience.
- A visual storyteller with knowledge of graphic design.
- Confirmed computer proficiency in a Mac environment.
- Previous experience as a Disney Cast Member.
- Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese.
Education
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Media Relations, Public Relations, Mass Communication, or a related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2026 through June 2026
- Fully available from Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM Eastern Time Zone for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area.
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
