GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Serving as a member of the Technical Services Team and reporting to the Associate Director, the Systems Support Analyst supports the college’s server, desktop, and network infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include account provisioning, IT documentation, and resolution of escalated help desk tickets. This role involves close collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to maintain reliable IT services, deliver responsive support, and assist in the planning and execution of infrastructure projects within a collaborative, service-oriented environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support Windows and macOS client systems directly and through management tools such as JAMF, Microsoft Intune, or equivalent endpoint management platforms.
- Work with other members of the Technical Services Team to implement, support, and maintain IT infrastructure including Windows servers, Cisco network switches, Cisco wireless access points, and network cabling.
- Perform user account management in collaboration with the Systems Administrator and the Office of Human Resources.
- Assist with security controls such as patch management, MFA, endpoint protection, email protection, and user account protection, in alignment with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Follow guidance from the IT Infrastructure Manager to execute maintenance and monitoring procedures for the campus data center.
- Develop documentation for systems and procedures tailored to both end users and technical staff.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for the help desk by providing Tier 3 support and advanced troubleshooting for network, system, and specialized application issues.
- Coordinate with external vendors to support, maintain, and troubleshoot systems and infrastructure components.
- Participate in IT projects of varying scopes, including infrastructure upgrades and system migrations; lead small-scale implementations under the guidance of senior team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including backup support for other members of the Office of Information Technology.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems, Information Systems, or a related field. A combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with two years of relevant full-time experience (or the equivalent in part-time experience) in a related role. Work experience during college is acceptable.

- Ability to provide high-quality customer service to a diverse campus community.

- Ability to speak and write English clearly and persuasively, with attention to detail and to the needs of the target audience.
- Expertise in the use of productivity software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Google Docs, etc.)
- Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts, particularly in relation to Windows and macOS systems.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot, research, and resolve issues independently and efficiently.
- Capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage projects to ensure timely and accurate completion.

Time Type: Full-time 40 hours per week
Annual Pay Schedule: 12
Work Schedule: The regular hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. These hours may vary due to needs of the College or department.
Work Model: Hybrid
Compensation: $23.08-$27.88
The salary for the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
