JOB SUMMARY:

To assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Accounting Department with all items focused on the administration of Medicaid/Medicare state funding/billing, data management, payroll, and operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

§ N/A

Duties/Responsibilities:

§ Maintains confidentiality with: all financial information, client and staff issues, correspondence, reports, and safeguards individuals’ rights.

§ Prepares and submits weekly Medicaid/Medicare state funding/billing submissions in accordance with billing systems and processes.

§ Generate reports on billing activity and reconcile it weekly.

§ Prepare weekly tracking spreadsheet to monitor unit projection of clients.

§ Gain proficiency in billing software to resolve issues and add or update information as needed.

§ Follow up on problem claims, denials, and calling on necessary claims.

§ Executes all payroll functions including bi-weekly payroll functions, tax preparations, corrections, and any quarterly reporting requirements.

§ Liaison between management and all departments resolving any critical payroll issues.

§ Develops companywide internal controls and processes for areas of focus and ensures staff are trained and knowledgeable of these processes and controls.

§ Oversees and manages payroll systems and transactions.

§ Performs other related duties as assigned to benefit the mission of the organization.

Requirements

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

§ Have and maintain a valid driver’s license, including dependable vehicle/transportation to and from work, and automobile insurance coverage at all times, to ensure you are eligible to operate company vehicles.

§ Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

§ Positive attitude, good customer service, and relational skills.

§ Work flexible schedule based on the those served by and the needs of A New Leaf, Inc., including but not limited to working scheduled evenings or weekends based on the department/event need.

§ Expressed desire to work with as well as a positive attitude when working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.

§ Strong organizational skills and an ability to thrive and be productive equally in a team oriented or autonomous environment.

§ Proficient skills in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.

Education and Experience:

§ Minimum age – 21 years old

§ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration preferred

§ 2-4 years of work experience with medical billing required; preferably in a Development Disabilities Service Division setting

§ Final hiring pending on OSBI background check, clean driving record, Community Services Registry check, and pre-employment screening.
