Position Summary:

Provide technical and scheduling assistance to local field operations in order to ensure integrity of the fleet and increase the technical competence of the field operation with a focus on developing customer relationships and as a working Mentor for others within local team on all aspects of the daily operations. Increase field servicemen’s awareness of maintenance policy and procedure, and help ensure HSE and other compliance requirements.

Primary Responsibilities and Assignments

• Provides overall support for assigned assets and/or geography, as needed by local management.
• Serve as Mentor for service Techs regarding troubleshooting and repairs or equipment.
• Assist Local Management with scheduling of personnel and Project Management
• Provide assistance on Installation / Removal (MOB / DE-MOB) for assets arriving or leaving assigned area.
• Could have call-out rotation responsibilities and the need to respond to emergency maintenance calls as required
• Perform all types of repairs on assets, includes all categories of repairs from Minor repair to Major overhauls.
• Key function is ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment
• Demonstrates ability to work well with other as a mentor

• Is dedicated to customer service, and maintains professional working relationships with customers and co-workers
• Communicates with customers and supervisor to ensure all parties are kept aware of equipment’s status.
• Responsible for ensuring service truck is maintained and well kept.
• Ensures that work areas and equipment are kept clean and presentable
• Responsible for submitting accurate, timely maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.
• Serve as front line for all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
• Represents Axip in a professional manner at all times.
• Work safely and provide leadership attitude toward safe work practices.
• Work closely with the Sales and other departments to promote growth.


Education and Certification

Desired:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Engine and Compressor Schools/Training.

Specific Work Background/Experience

Required:
• 5-7 years’ experience working on natural gas compressors or equivalent mechanical experience

Desired:
• 7-9 years’ Experience working on Caterpillar and Waukesha Series IV Engines.
• Knowledge and experience on compression, process and production equipment, as well as electrical systems, including panel boards, skid wiring, etc.
• Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience and ability to use OEM Software, Cat ET, Ariel sizing, Waukesha CEC, Murphy, Altronic, etc.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Possess valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
• Ability to provide own hand tools up to 1 1/4".
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high pressure, outdoor environment.

Physical Strain:

• Must be willing to drive / travel on a daily basis.
• Drive and work in inclement weather conditions for extended periods.
• Must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to routinely lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
