Join our General Services Bureau

Support the District's General Services Bureau managing multiple tasks and priorities in fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As part of the Records Services team, the Records Imaging Technician is responsible for prepping, imaging, and uploading the paper permitting documents to the Districts electronic content management system. With this position, you will be a part of the current ERP scanning initiative and also handle Public Records Requests and staff requests for these documents which are currently on paper and microfiche. Compensation:  

Records Imaging Technician 2: $16.14 - $17.47 
Records Imaging Technician 3: $17.19 - $18.61
Records Imaging Technician 4: $18.31 - $19.82
Records Imaging Technician 5: $19.50 - $21.11

The starting salary is included for the Business Process Technician profile which reflects the minimum to 15% of the compensation. The starting salary will be based on the education and experience of the successful candidate. The District conducts annual performance evaluations that may award applicable pay increases based on positive employee performance.

Essential Functions

  • Document imaging, ensuring quality in compliance with the requirements of Florida Administrative Code 1B-26
  • Meet established production goals
  • Receive and process public records and staff requests in accordance with established guidelines
  • Regulatory vault operations, including retrieving and refiling of District records
  • Responds to internal and external customer needs according to the District’s standard for service excellence

    Working Conditions

    Employee works in a standard office environment. Performs continuous repetitive tasks (to include keyboarding) with one or both hands. Occasionally lifts and carries objects weighing 10 to 40 pounds. Frequently requires bending and reaching above shoulder level. Possible travel to other offices or into the field is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Employee may be subject to call-in outside of regularly scheduled work hours, or required to be on call, including on nights, weekends or holidays, to respond to emergency management activities or other incidents requiring rapid response in support of District operations.

    Required Credentials for Records Imaging Technician

    • High School Diploma and Two (2) years related work experience
    • Valid driver’s license

    Records Imaging Technician 3

    • High School Diploma and Four (4) years related work experience
    • Valid driver’s license

    Records Imaging Technician 4 

    • High School Diploma and Seven (7) years related work experience OR Associate's degree, or higher and Five (5) years related work experience 
    • Valid driver’s license

    Records Imaging Technician 5 

    • High School Diploma and Ten (10) years related work experience OR Associate's degree, or higher and Eight (8) years related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and Six (6) years related work experience
    • Valid driver’s license

    Application Process

    The District will determine eligibility for employment solely from the information provided on a District employment application. Applicants who are within 30 days of graduation, if selected are not allowed to start until all minimum qualifications are met. 

    Additional Details

    This position is typically scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, out of the Brooksville, FL office. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked over 40 hours, in a week.

    Yes. Some travel, using District vehicle, within District's coverage area.
