We are searching for the best talent for a Manager, Production Planning & Scheduling to join our team in Gurabo, PR.
Summary:
The Planning and Scheduling Manager is responsible for the end-to-end scheduling operations and management of order processing. This role involves coordinating with various departments, regions and site customers to ensure timely delivery of products and services, optimizing efficiencies inventory levels, and enhancing customer satisfaction using digital technology. The strong candidate will have a strong background in logistics, digital strategy, supply chain management, or operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the latest digital technology to analyze order, plan, and manufacturing planning values data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement in the scheduling and order management processes.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to scheduling and order management.
Provide training and support to team members in guidance for order management and scheduling.
Efficiently use scheduling and order management software to track and manage the flow of orders.
Develop and maintain metrics to assess scheduling efficiency and order accuracy.
Prepare regular reports for management that detail scheduling performance and order fulfillment metric.
Contributes to the Production Planning and Scheduling team by managing a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures to achieve the organization's goals and objectives for the production function.
Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
Will be responsible for the supervision of the Planning Scheduler and Order Coordinator and the Planning Analyst.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
A minimum 7 years of professional work experience in scheduling, order management, or related roles.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles and order management systems.
Strong proficiencies in BI Tools, SQLS, and Data Management experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OMP).
Lean Six Sigma certification or familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication and influencing skills
Preferred:
Supervisory experience is preferred
Other:
May require up to 10% domestic and international travel
