Job Profile: Cane Zonal Incharge

Position: Cane Zonal Incharge
Qualification: B.Sc. (Agriculture)
Experience: 5–10 years in Cane Development, Marketing, and related functions

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cane Development & Marketing

    • Plan, promote, and implement cane development activities in the assigned zone.

    • Strengthen cane procurement and marketing strategies to ensure adequate cane supply to the factory.

    • Build and maintain strong relations with farmers to encourage sustainable cane cultivation.

  2. Farmer Engagement & Advisory

    • Provide technical guidance to farmers on improved cane varieties, crop protection, and modern cultivation techniques.

    • Conduct farmer meetings, field demonstrations, and training programs.

    • Promote balanced use of fertilizers, pesticides, and organic practices to improve cane yield and quality.

  3. Mechanization & Agri Inputs

    • Implement modern cane cultivation practices through mechanization (planters, harvesters, etc.).

    • Coordinate timely supply of quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other agri-inputs to farmers.

    • Encourage adoption of advanced irrigation practices (drip/sprinkler).

  4. Operational Management

    • Ensure timely harvesting and supply of cane to the factory.
