We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Quality Supervisor to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is essential in upholding product standards, managing quality systems, and supporting production excellence in a fast-paced, solar manufacturing environment.
Position Summary
The Senior Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality operations across the manufacturing floor, ensuring compliance with product specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This individual will lead a team of quality inspectors, collaborate closely with production and engineering, and play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise quality control and quality assurance activities within the production workshop, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols
- Manage in-process inspections, incoming material checks, and quality control of outsourced and directly purchased components
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including inspection standards, control plans, work instructions, and FMEA documentation
- Monitor and address production quality deviations; implement and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support the introduction of new products by developing and refining related quality standards and inspection protocols
- Analyze product defects, process deviations, and customer feedback to identify trends and root causes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve quality-related concerns
- Support and conduct quality training for production and quality team members
- Participate in overseas training programs in Southeast Asia or China (travel required)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of quality-related experience in solar manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, or a similar high-tech industry
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Materials Science, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of manufacturing quality principles, inspection processes, and root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
Preferred:
- Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools such as Minitab
- Familiarity with PV module manufacturing processes and industry-specific testing requirements
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin or Spanish is a plus
- Quality certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) are an advantage
