Job Summary:

The Associate Director, Product Management (Marketing) will spearhead the development and execution of marketing strategies for Masimo’s product and brand portfolio(s). Supporting both upstream (insight-driven product development) and downstream (commercial go-to-market) initiatives, this role works collaboratively across Engineering, Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Sales, and Marketing Communications to drive brand growth, market awareness, and adoption. This individual will play a critical role in defining product positioning, market messaging, go-to-market strategies, and commercial support activities to drive adoption and growth. The Associate Director has a strong understanding of the medical device market, healthcare customer needs, and cross-functional team leadership, with a passion for leveraging clinical and market insights to shape product strategy.   

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead product marketing strategy for one or more product lines within Masimo’s monitoring or connectivity platforms.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Clinical Teams to define product requirements based on customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and voice-of-customer analysis to inform product direction and differentiation.
  • Support pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, upgrades, and feature releases.
  • Create compelling messaging, positioning, and value propositions tailored to healthcare professionals and purchasing stakeholders.
  • Partner with sales, clinical specialists, and global marketing teams to deliver training, sales enablement, and promotional campaigns.
  • Represent the marketing voice in cross-functional teams including Regulatory, Clinical, Engineering, and Quality.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory landscape impacting target markets.
  • Lead customer segmentation, KOL engagement, and insights gathering to guide product and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor product performance, customer adoption, and feedback to guide improvements and future innovation.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience: 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years working in product / brand marketing, including knowledge of new product launch stage gate process and brand development, with at least 3 years in medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Proven success in launching and managing complex medical products in global markets.
  • Experience with regulated healthcare products (510k, PMA) required, ideally medical products in consumer markets 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Experience in regulated healthcare product and selling into HCPs, Payors and other channels vis product mechanism of action, clinical data and evidence
  • Advanced ability with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working within medical devices or life sciences company
  • Consumer Packaged Goods experience 
  • Retail/shopper marketing experience
  • Strategic knowledge of ecommerce & digital marketing activation 
  • Previous experience in strategic planning 
  • People Management skills is a plus

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $157,000 - $191,000 plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 20% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance. 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field. MBA preferred.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment 

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.  May stand for extended periods of time.  Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% is necessary.
