We’re hiring multiple Mid-Sr level Software Engineers to support a long-term initiative focused on building modern internal tools that streamline task execution and operational workflows. Engineers on this team will work across backend services, front-end interfaces, and mobile-integrated systems, with opportunities to contribute to machine learning components. This long-term project focuses on clean architecture, scalability, and practical use of GenAI and ML to enhance performance and efficiency.
This is a W2 contract, fully remote role working with a Fortune 50 enterprise org. There is potential for long-term growth and additional opportunities, based on performance and business needs.
The hourly rate for this role is aligned to experience and level, comparable to a $110K–$160K annual salary.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally within large-scale enterprise environments
- Proficiency with Java 21+, including experience building scalable backend systems, object modeling with JSON, and designing clean, maintainable APIs
- 2+ years of frontend development using React (latest) — must be comfortable building production-ready UIs
- Experience designing for mobile integration, including responsive interfaces
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly Pub/Sub and Vertex AI
- Solid understanding of full-stack system architecture and development best practices
- Exposure to projects involving machine learning, especially systems that automate task logic or process visual inputs
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced development tools like GitHub Copilot or Gemini for improving code efficiency and testing
- Self-starter with strong critical thinking skills, able to work through ambiguity and deliver independently
- Clear communicator who collaborates effectively in remote team environments

- This is a W-2 only, fully remote contract opportunity (no C2C).

- Standard Eastern Time business hours (full-time).
- You must be exclusively dedicated to this role (no concurrent job engagements).
- To meet the client’s cybersecurity requirements, contractors are expected to have their camera on during meetings, collaboration sessions, etc. for the first 90 days of the assignment. Additionally, all work must be performed from within the United States for the duration of the assignment.
