TEMP - Marketing Coordinator, Global Catalog Recordings

Your Mission

BMG’s Global Catalog Recordings team is one of the fastest-growing catalog departments in the industry. We operate in a fast-paced environment with a diverse range of responsibilities, all driven by a singular mission: to help artists and songwriters make the very most of their songs and recordings in the digital age. That’s why we offer the best creative support, provide the best access to platforms, and work hard to maximize the value of each and every recording.

Your goal in this 4-month, temporary role will be to support BMG’s Global Catalog Recordings division with marketing campaigns for specific releases and entire catalogs. Your contributions will encompass catalog optimization, sync tagging, YouTube claiming, and more. Additional responsibilities will include researching trends, consumption reporting, invoice processing, and data entry.

 

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Catalog optimization: Reviewing DSP and social media profiles, tracking areas for improvement, and assisting in implementation. Key areas of optimization include releasing Dolby Atmos mixes; uploading visuals to YouTube; staying active across social platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube; uploading Canvases and Clips for Spotify and Motion Art / Artist Motion for Apple Music; ensuring lyrics are live across several key DSPs; pinning playlists on YouTube and Spotify; and much more.
  • Sync tagging: Ensuring all songs are accurately tagged in our internal systems to increase sync opportunities.
  • YouTube claiming: Weekly video claiming to monetize our catalog on YouTube.
  • Art track creation: Creating art tracks / pseudo videos on YouTube for new catalog releases & assisting with uploading.
  • Consumption reporting: Preparing weekly consumption reports for key releases using Luminate, providing key insights that help the team track performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Invoice payments & procurement: Processing invoices and being heavily involved in procurement, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors.
  • Mailings: Handling CD and vinyl mailings to radio, press, sync, and influencer partners, plus other key contacts.

 

 

What You Bring

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent priorities to completion
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Tech-savvy mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in music marketing, specifically catalog marketing
  • Knowledge across a wide variety of music genres
  • Ability to thrive working both in a team setting and independently
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines easily

  • Other tools in the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Music industry tools (Chartmetric, Luminate, Mediabase, Spotify For Artists, Apple Music For Artists, etc.)

Pay Range
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour

The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs.
