General Summary: 

Elderhaus located in Wilmington, NC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Business Office. This role is pivotal in managing claims processing, vendor relations, contract oversight, and financial reporting for our PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) services. The ideal candidate will work closely to ensure smooth and compliant business operations. 


Business Team Leader, Full Time 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and supervise the PACE Business Office team, including coordinators and analysts.
  • Manage claims processing, batch closing, and audits using Plexis Healthcare System (PCM).
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams on monthly closing processes and annual audits.
  • Assist in budget creation and financial analysis.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and support Medicare Part D bid and audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, State, and County regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold EveryAge’s mission, values, and safety protocols.


Qualifications

Education: 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years in claims processing or related field.
  • Supervisory experience in a healthcare/business setting.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care principles.
  • Experience with Plexis Healthcare System (PCM) preferred.

Skills: 

  • Advanced Excel and intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and database operations.

Other Qualifications: 

  • Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have up-to-date immunizations.
  • At least one year of experience working with frail or elderly populations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
