We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This position reports to the Operations Manager and will work in the Pompano Beach, FL facility.
As Manufacturing Engineering Manager of the Pompano Beach team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the manufacturing engineering team to support manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure efficient production processes. This role oversees the development and implementation of manufacturing methods, process improvements, and equipment selection and upgrades to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
General Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Manage departmental KPI’s and implement tools for improvement.
- Coordinate project activities, resource planning, estimate project times and costs.
- Oversee the design, installation, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Monitor status, maintain program commitments, and report out progress on programs.
- May be required to act as Project Manager for smaller programs.
- Encourage group discussions, collaboration, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations (PMP) and recommend individual development.
- Support new product introductions and ensure manufacturability.
- Direct Engineering team in creation of production documents (PFMEA’s, Work Instructions, etc.)
- Facilitate workshops with cross-functional technical team to improve processes.
- Lead efforts to maximize plant layout and participate in future-state planning (MTP)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
- Mentor/Coach Engineering team and administer appraisals.
- Work closely with Quality/Warranty dept. to drive down warranty and quality issues.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.), Master’s degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with CAD software, ERP systems, and manufacturing automation.
- Experience with welding COBOT’s, TIG Welding and metal fabrication.
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and the ability to learn other applications quickly.
- Exercise technical leadership over Manufacturing Engineers; map out, plan and communicate development activities.
- Ability to optimize cost, performance and meet internal/external customer requirements.
- Assist with value stream mapping and future state planning.
