Our Recruitment & Resourcing (R&R) team sits within the wider People Team, which is made up of over 40 friendly, dedicated colleagues. Together, we support the firm across five key areas: Recruitment & Resourcing, Human Resources, People Analytics, Talent Development, and People Business Partnering.

The R&R team currently includes 12 collaborative professionals who work closely with each other and the wider firm to ensure we have the right people, in the right roles, at the right time. This includes hiring both experienced professionals and early talent and supporting teams in making the most of their people resources.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Early Talent Recruitment Advisor to join our welcoming and supportive team. This is a key role in shaping how we attract, assess, and hire early talent across the firm.

You’ll work closely with our Early Talent Coordinator, Placement Student, and the broader People Team to deliver a strategic, inclusive, and high-quality recruitment service. Your focus will be on attracting and recruiting high-calibre individuals into our early talent programmes including apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and placements - primarily within our audit sub-departments, but also across areas of the firm.

You’ll take ownership of trainee recruitment across these areas, building strong relationships with stakeholders and developing a deep understanding of the business to ensure our recruitment approach continues to meet evolving needs. Our trainees work toward becoming Chartered professionals, so your ability to align recruitment with long-term development goals will be key.

This is a hands-on role involving high volumes of application screening, virtual interview reviews, and candidate interviews. You’ll also play a vital role in driving our ED&I agenda, ensuring a fair and inclusive recruitment process and helping to develop initiatives that improve access to the firm for underrepresented groups. Typically we recruit c120 trainee positions per year, with 20,000 applications from candidates across the recruitment cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Selection
  • Own the trainee recruitment process across various sub-departments, with a primary focus on audit.
  • Screen applications in our ATS (Pinpoint) and review on-demand video interviews (HireVue).
  • Conduct first stage interviews via Teams, providing feedback and recommendations on progression to final interviews (face-to-face), whilst aligning candidates to suitable sub-departments.
  • Ensure timely and constructive feedback is provided to all candidates who complete an interview.
  • Oversee the Early Talent Recruitment Assistant (Placement Student) in issuing employment contracts and related documentation.

Attraction & Education Outreach
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, universities, and external partners to promote our early talent programmes.
  • Enhance our early talent brand through engaging website content, social media, and strategic partnerships.
  • Support our continuous Virtual Work Experience programme (Springpod) cycle, updating content and keeping talent pool engaged.
  • Represent the firm at early talent attraction events, including careers fairs, skills sessions, and insight days.

Operations
  • Produce reports and insights to inform improvements in recruitment processes, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity within recruitment systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date candidate and process records.
  • Stay informed on recruitment trends and developments, applying insights to enhance our approach.
  • Share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues across the internal recruitment community and wider People Team.
  • Support the design and delivery of pre-boarding and “keep-warm” activities to engage upcoming new joiners.

Skills and Experience

Essential
  • Proven experience in graduate and/or apprenticeship recruitment
  • Passionate about creating fair, inclusive, and accessible recruitment processes.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with confidence in engaging diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to workload ownership and personal development.
  • Professional, confident, and approachable, with a can-do attitude and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business, external partners and candidates
  • Collaborative team player with a supportive and solution-focused mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering a high standard of recruitment service.
  • IT literate, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
Desirable
  • Experience working within professional services.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and video interviewing platforms (e.g., HireVue).
  • Understanding of ED&I best practices in early talent recruitment.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and/or graduate training contracts (e.g., ACA, AAT, CTA pathways).
