  We are currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing all aspects of administrative support to the Marketing Team. This role involves many different functions, including the coordination of scheduling and logistics, handling confidential and sensitive information, budget management, tracking and event coordination.  This role will be required to build excellent working relationships and communications within the organization. In this position the coordinator has a broad view of all Marketing activities and offers an excellent entry point for growing a career in this area. 

Accountabilities

  1. Marketing & Community Event Support:  Supports various marketing programs/functions which include but are not limited to crafting messages and obtaining images for social media at events, tent program administration, work orders, event support, and printing. Supports the local marketing team with volunteer administration, committee participation, event administration, managing branded merchandise giveaways, t-shirt distribution and equipment/vendor resources.
  2. Department Administration: Provides day-to-day effective and responsive administrative support to Local Marketing team. Takes the initiative to prepare documents as needed; facilities coordination (equipment upkeep) maintains relationships with internal and external resources. The Coordinator is responsible for daily management and triage of messages from social media and marketing inboxes.
  3. Budget Management:  Liaises across the Strategy & Marketing Growth department to ensure effective budget management including, invoicing, purchase orders, cheque requisitions, new suppliers, and expenses.  Able to communicate/reconcile the budget tracking monthly. 
  4. Branch Marketing Support: Completes month merchandising plan, maintains a working relationship with branch marketing champions including recruitment, responds to branch requests for marketing materials, conducts branch education on marketing requirements, orders and distributes marketing materials for branches. Manages in-branch marketing screens, including hardware, ATM screens and provision of signage for branch closures, hours changes and other emergencies. 

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications 

  • 2-year certificate (administrative or business-related program) preferred
  • Previous experience working in a marketing/communications department would be considered an asset.
  • A natural curiosity and exuberant energy befitting of our dynamic marketing team
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional service in a high paced, multi-demand environment
  • Advanced ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively
  • Strong skill and ability with the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook calendar management
  • Comfortable using online systems and apps; web content management experience would be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, problem solve and work effectively with little instruction to provide value to a team of professionals
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
