Description

• Responsible to manage materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over all goods inventories, including transactions, warehousing, and receiving to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. This position is also responsible to work with and maintain open communication with suppliers. 
• Position is 1st shift (7:30 am - 3:30 pm)

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to develop and execute build to order and build to forecast plans.
• Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control and organization of stock.
• Prepares customer delivery reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends and uses information to proactively communicate potential late deliveries.
• Establishes and supervises production scheduling activities by monitoring material inventories, tracking progress of production and reviewing factors that affect schedules.
• Identify, develop and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and legal matters that affect purchasing policies.
• Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Complete receiving and other necessary forms.
• Assist in the training of employees in the issuing of stock.
• Identify opportunities for inventory policies and procedures
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks, such as maintaining files and processing paperwork.
• Maintain open dialogue with CPO and Inventory Control Manager on any issues, activities and improvement plans.
• Review inventory counts and balance accuracy.
• Minimize overstocks and remove obsolete/redundant materials.
• Ensure incoming product has proper receipt and is managed appropriately according to company procedures.
• Ensure all stock is ready and available for production when required.
• Provide routine management information on inventory performance.
• Manage control measures ensuring mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are addressed and resolved.
• Record and receive stock as it arrives.
• Become proficient with ordering and receiving system.
• Maintain stock on shelves.
• Maintain stock of usable racks, baskets, press plates and such for production needs.
• Maintain FIFO system and its use.
• Perform inventory.
• Work with Production and Process staff to set minimum/maximum inventory numbers.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Work with MRP system.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Requires a high school diploma or GED

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to work in excess of a 40-hour week, including weekends, holidays and varying shifts if necessary
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20lbs
• Long periods of viewing data on a computer screen and/or on paper are a necessity
