The Sanctuary Golf Club, a prestigious member-owned private golf club located on beautiful Sanibel Island, FL is accepting resumes for a Seasonal Concierge to join the team this season, October through May 2026.  The Sanctuary is a five-star rated Platinum Level Club and has been awarded over 25 different accolades from around the world!


Part-Time Seasonal Concierge


The Concierge in responsible for receiving incoming calls, forwarding calls to other Club extensions and taking messages from callers. Greeting and assisting Members, Guests, and all visitors warmly, professionally and efficiently, as well as taking dining and event reservations are primary functions of this highly visible role. The Concierge will also need to become well-versed in Club events, activities and policies and become familiar with our Members.


SCHEDULE: Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays starting at 9:00 am (we are open to Concierge working all 3 days, or Sunday/Tuesday only or Monday/Tuesday only), available to stay until 7:00 pm on Sundays and/or Tuesdays, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the activities at the Front Desk and maintains its organization and cleanliness
  • Greets Members and Guests entering the Club in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
  • Takes reservations for Club dining and events and assists with managing seating times and preferences
  • Answers telephone inquiries and directs incoming calls to the appropriate staff person
  • Maintains supply of Club materials such as calendars, newsletters, membership info packets
  • Provides schedule and other Club information to Members and Guests
  • Manages Club mail by sorting and distributing, collects and posts out-going mail; handles third party packages
  • Performs general office work including data entry, updating documents, collecting information, email communications, etc.
  • Manages Boardroom reservations and setup
  • Creates and prints menu cards and other materials for Food & Beverage Department
  • Fulfills Members' requests (e.g., places phone calls, holds letters or packages, sends faxes)
  • Works on special projects as assigned by General Manager, CFO or other Management

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous front desk, concierge and/or administrative experience preferred
  • Outstanding professionalism, helpfulness, friendliness and customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time, remain organized while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • General computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn other club industry software (e.g. reservation system).

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Required to sit for extended periods throughout shift
  • May be required to push, pull, lift, move up to 25 pounds
