Electrical Engineer I - Englobal bei Gulf Island

Main Purpose:

The main purpose of the Electrical Engineer is to facilitate PDC and RIE shelter design, process analytical shelter designs, controls and power systems integration. This position is located in Houston, Texas at our ENG Fabrication Shop.

Essential Functions:

• Interact with BD / Management to generate estimates and proposals for incoming customer RFQs
• Interact with project manager and other departments such as production, CAD and procurement during execution of project
• Evaluate and implement customer and/or ENGlobal standard project specifications for a mix of analytical, power, CEMS, controls and DCS-RIE integration projects
• Apply working knowledge of national electric code – specifically class 1 division 2 installations. Knowledge of IEC, ATEX, IECEx
• Apply working knowledge of process analyzers, P&IDs, PLC/logic/signals 
• Apply working knowledge of RIE’s power buildings, PDC’s, Power racks, etc
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to pass a background check

Desirable Experience, Education, and Training:

• Knowledge of national electric code - specifically class 1 division 2 installations.
• Knowledge of of IEC, ATEX, IECEx
• Familiar with process analyzers, P&IDs, PLC/logic/signals
• Familiar with RIE’s power buildings, PDC’s, Power racks, etc. 
• High School Diploma or GED

This position is located in an office environment.
