PlainsCapital Bank is seeking to hire a Warehouse Lending Funding Manager
The Warehouse Lending Funding Manager for the National Warehouse Lending (NWL) division is responsible for supervision of the Funding Department employees to ensure wiring instructions are verified, required loan and/or title company documents are obtained, appropriate validations are performed and loan data is reviewed for accuracy in order for residential loans to be properly funded and settled in a timely manner. This highly motivated individual will interact with customers across the country and is responsible for creating open communication and enhancing the customer relationship while maintaining compliance and confidentiality. In addition, the Funding Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the payoff process, training new customers and maintaining the Warehouse Lending Manual. This position supports the NWL operations department while ensuring the loan funding and settlement processes operate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Acts as direct supervisor for funding coordinators, ensuring employees are following funding and settlement procedures and operate effectively as a team to meet and/or exceed funding turn-time goals.
- Trains new employees, provides support and ongoing training as needed to existing employees and addresses any performance issues as needed.
- Outlines divisions of duties within funding department as necessary.
- Creates additional funding/settlement processes and/or procedures necessary to meet business needs.
- Reviews and approves wires to be submitted to the Wire Transfer department.
- Trains new customers via Teams webinar on PlainsCapital procedures and use of Warehouse Lending System.
- Acts as primary point of escalation for customers when processing their funding requests.
- Reviews daily GL reports along with research and correction of any outages.
- Follows internal funding guidelines while also complying with all applicable federal rules and regulations.
- Manages and resolves various time sensitive issues with loans that arise daily for customers’ funding requests.
- Works with other departments to collect all items necessary for loan funding.
- Establish and maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all bank associates.
- Performs general administrative duties.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to report to our Republic Center office located at 325 N. St. Paul Street, Dallas, TX 75201, without the need for relocation assistance.
- High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in mortgage and/or warehouse lending required with 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Basic knowledge of residential mortgage (FHA, VA, and/or conventional) lending, processing, funding, and/or loan documents is strongly preferred. Knowledge of automated underwriting systems such as Delegated Underwriting and/or Loan Prospect a plus.
- Must be detail oriented and exhibit the ability to read, input and translate data with extreme accuracy.
- Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
