Responsibilities:This role plays a key role in refining and validating the airline’s published schedules to ensure operational feasibility, commercial optimization, and adherence to regulatory and slot constraints. This position works cross-functionally with Schedule Planning Analysts, Operations Control, Airports, and Commercial teams to enhance schedule integrity and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of airline scheduling processes, and the ability to lead complex projects that support the strategic direction of the network.
- Ensures quality control of schedule builds and modifications, validating alignment with operational parameters including maintenance requirements, crew legality, airport constraints, and turnaround times.
- Identifies and resolves schedule integrity issues prior to publication, working closely with Schedule Planning, Operations, and Commercial teams.
- Leads schedule audits and analyses to proactively detect inefficiencies, inconsistencies, or violations of business rules, regulatory policies, and slot usage requirements.
- Develops and maintains schedule quality performance metrics and dashboards to track improvements and drive data-informed decisions.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to refine scheduling standards, operational buffers, and gating procedures to enhance schedule reliability and reduce disruption risk.
- Supports the implementation of tools and process automation to improve schedule quality assurance workflows.
- Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for scheduling feasibility, gate planning, and industry best practices.
- Participates in schedule coordination meetings with domestic and international airport and government authorities, contributing to slot submissions and compliance reviews.
- Performs other job-related functions as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Aviation or equivalent experience.
- 4-6 years of experience in Economics, Business Administration, or Aviation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access).
- Capable of developing high-quality, professional PowerPoint presentations to display data and tell a story in a clear and concise manner.
- Schedule software knowledge such as Sabre, Schedule Manager, Zulu, OASIS, Lufthansa Netline and GDS/PSS systems such as Sabre, Navitaire or Amadeus is desirable.
- Must have excellent knowledge of the commercial aviation world especially when it comes to competitive dynamics and relevant current events. This means knowing airline networks, fleets, government policy related to aviation and general airport operations is essential.
- Working under pressure with tight deadlines that are both commercial as well as contractual is an integral part of this role therefore, an organized multi-tasker that can prioritize solving problems will succeed in this role
- General Population – Low Activity Lifting Requirements: Seldom lift up to 10 lbs, such as small office supplies or documents. Pushing/Pulling: Seldom pushing/pulling of light items within the workspace. Standing/Sitting Requirements: Primarily seated work, with occasional standing for brief tasks. Bending/Kneeling/Reaching: Occasional reaching within arm’s length to retrieve materials. Coordination: Basic manual coordination for standard office tasks (e.g., typing, using office equipment). Vision/Auditory Requirements: Clear vision for reading documents and screens; clear hearing for standard communication. Environmental Conditions: Indoor, climate-controlled environment. Safety Equipment: None required.
