- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs and policies in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, standards, and guidelines
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence
- Provide EHS training and education to employees at all levels to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business operations and decision-making processes
- Prepare and submit required EHS reports to regulatory agencies
- Stay current with EHS trends, regulations, and emerging issues to ensure the company remains at the forefront of EHS excellence
- Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills and exercises to ensure preparedness
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS performance and sustainability efforts
- Schedule, monitor and review safety audits
- Schedule and monitor OSHA required training, first aid training and oversee the administration of the First Responders Program
- Maintain the SDS and Dupont Systems
- Participate in special projects as required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety/Environmental Sciences
- Minimum of five years of experience within a manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards.
- Excellent organization skills
- Good verbal, written and presentation skills to communicate effectively with employees and insurance providers
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
