Job purpose/role

 

As part of the Portfolio Management team of the Life/Health Germany hub you are playing a pivotal role in expanding our advisory services with data-driven analysis and innovative solutions. Your responsibilities include supporting the integration of new portfolios into the existing data architecture and implementing cloud-based solutions to extract insights and support the portfolio management. As a member of our cross-functional team you will have the unique opportunity to apply all your experience in data analysis, data engineering, computer science and other modern technologies to the optimal steering of our investment portfolios with over EUR 350bn AuM.

 


Key responsibilities

 

  • Onboarding of new investment portfolios from clients and integration into our advanced data and analytics landscape
  • Drive the success of integration projects by applying your project management skills, coordinating the implementation and aligning requirements with customers and stakeholders
  • Create new and innovative data solutions to enhance analytical capabilities and to develop cloud native applications for portfolio analytics and steering
  • Engage in the Allianz digital community with focus on knowledge and best practice sharing across hubs and teams

 


Key requirements/skills/experience

 

  • Master's degree in computer science, information technology, data engineering or other quantitative areas, PhD is a plus
  • Ideally already 3+ years of work experience
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data analysis including SQL skills
  • Ability to effectively coordinate projects and to professionally communicate with peers and clients at all levels
  • Strong IT and programming skills in languages like Python, Java, C#, TypeScript, Rust or C++. Proficiency with cloud technology and docker is a strong plus
  • Clear interest in financial sector (banking, investment, insurance etc.) and willingness to learn about investment management business
