About the Opportunity

As a Dealer Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in expanding our dealer network, driving revenue growth, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, promote our products, and provide expert support to maximize dealer success. This position requires a passion for the knife industry, an ability to identify new sales opportunities, and a strategic mindset to help us grow.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Growth:

    • Develop and execute strategies to expand the dealer network and increase product penetration.
    • Identify opportunities for growth within existing dealer relationships.
  • Dealer Relationships:

    • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with new and existing dealers, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
    • Foster trust and rapport to become a key point of contact for our dealers.
  • Product Expertise:

    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Microtech Knives products, including features, benefits, and competitive positioning.
    • Share knowledge with dealers to promote effective selling strategies.
  • Market Analysis:

    • Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, competitive threats, and sales opportunities.
    • Provide feedback to the leadership team to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Training and Support:

    • Provide product training and sales guidance to dealer teams to help them achieve maximum sales potential.
    • Serve as a resource to answer product-related inquiries and resolve dealer concerns promptly.
  • Reporting and CRM Management:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all dealer interactions, sales activities, and market feedback using CRM tools.
    • Prepare regular sales reports and updates for leadership.
  • Events and Trade Shows:

    • Represent Microtech Knives at industry events, trade shows, and dealer meetings to promote our products and strengthen partnerships.
    • Network with potential customers and industry professionals to generate new business.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the knife, outdoor gear, or sporting goods industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and exceptional customer service practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent worker with strong time management abilities.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with dealers and attend trade shows or events.
  • Experience in dealer or distributor sales is preferred.
  • Passion for outdoor activities and familiarity with related products is a plus.
