Job Description To evaluate transfercredits and/or academic and vocational graduation requirements; providetechnical assistance to faculty, staff, and students; perform related work. This position's primary responsibilities include: initial reviews of lower division course content alignment, assess direct course equivalencies credit, elective credit, and general education credit from Regionally Accredited colleges/universities from the point of initial transfer ﴾upon formally admission to ISU﴿ and throughout the student’s enrollment at ISU. This fulltime position is part of a three‐person team in the Office of the Registrar providing transfer credit assessments and guidance to staff, students and members of the public. Requires knowledge of university curriculum, course offerings, and uses a variety of internal and external resources and programs/software to maintain student records in BANNER. Key Responsibilities -Evaluate incoming transcripts from external colleges to determine equivalent credit.
-Evaluate incoming test credit ‐ AP, CLEP, IB, JST, SAT, ACT, etc. to determine equivalent credit.
-Review external college catalog descriptions to determine content equivalencies.
-Computer skills: BANNER, MS Word/Excel/Onenote, and BDMS ﴾scanning software﴿.
-Basic office skills: word processing, filing, and answering telephones.
Minimum Qualifications Experience: -Researching, interpreting and applying university policies andprocedures relating to transfer credits or graduation requirements.
-Interpreting, applying and explaining university academic andvocational program requirements.
-Computing grade point averages.
-Compiling data and preparing reports.
