Job Description To plan and organize custodial services insuring buildingcomplexes are clean and orderly; perform related work. Examples of Duties 1. Supervision.
Typical duties: interviews and hires staff and evaluates performance;establishes work priorities, organizes work schedules, and determines dutyassignment so there is little adverse impact on daily operations; determinescustodial care plans for work areas; monitors work habits of staff to insurework quality and productivity; implements quality assurance programs to insureduties are being performed and safety practices followed; trains staff onproper care and use of custodial equipment.
2. Custodial services.
Typical duties: schedules and coordinates building cleaning and custodialequipment lubrication and maintenance; orders supplies and replenishes stocksin supply rooms; fills requisitions for cleaning supplies; performs light- andheavy-duty cleaning duties when staff coverage is inadequate; maintains recordsand reports regarding product use and purchasing of supplies and equipment;assists in development of policies and procedures; tests and evaluates newproducts for usefulness.
