Job Title: Rework Operator (Soldering)
Department: Production
Location: Wilmer, Texas
Shift: C Shift (12-hour shifts, 4-3 / 3-4 rotation)

Shift Schedule:

  • Off 4 days: Sunday – Wednesday | On 3 days: Thursday – Saturday

  • Off 3 days: Sunday – Tuesday | On 4 days: Wednesday – Saturday


Position Overview:

The Rework Operator is responsible for executing daily rework tasks on solar modules, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring safety compliance. This role involves using specialized soldering equipment to make precise connections and repairs on components. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform rework and repairs of solar cell strings and modules using soldering techniques

  • Maintain and troubleshoot soldering and workstation equipment

  • Ensure accurate temperature settings on soldering tools using test equipment

  • Inspect and verify the quality of soldering through visual and electrical testing

  • Assemble circuits requiring fine hand soldering and detailed work

  • Read and verify cell labels for grade, manufacturer, and color series

  • Communicate effectively with oncoming shifts to ensure a smooth handover

  • Participate in 5S activities to maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures

  • Document rework activities as required

  • Assist in training team members on soldering and rework techniques

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership


Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • One year or more of soldering experience preferred

  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and work instructions

  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail

  • Ability to meet production targets in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
