Description
As a Senior Consultant in our Security Engineering Services (SES) team, you will lead and deliver cybersecurity services focused on vulnerability management, patch lifecycle oversight, and proactive risk mitigation. You’ll work directly with healthcare organizations to strengthen their security posture and reduce exposure to threats, with a strong emphasis on cloud security and scalable solutions.
This role is primarily client-facing, with 80% of your time dedicated to delivering billable services. You’ll also contribute to mentoring team members, refining service offerings, and supporting business development. Experience with breach and attack simulation (BAS) platforms or cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a strong plus. Prior experience in healthcare cybersecurity is highly valued. The billable hours target: 1664 hours annually (equivalent to 80% utilization)
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Delivery of cybersecurity services with a focus on vulnerability and patch management as well as cloud services across client environments
· Apply your experience to refine and evolve SES service offerings, methodologies, and tooling, especially in cloud-based environments
· Collaborate with clients to assess security posture, identify risks, and implement remediation strategies
· Support Security Control Validation Assessment (SCVA) engagements and Cloud Security Assessments (CSAs) as needed
· Contribute to internal knowledge development through documentation, templates, and best practices
· Mentor junior team members and assist in onboarding new consultants
· Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by delivering clear, actionable insights and recommendations
· Participate in thought leadership activities such as webinars, blogs, and industry forums
· Assist SES leadership in quality assurance and continuous improvement of deliverables
· Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and communicate risks or challenges to leadership
Requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on vulnerability management, remediation strategies, and patch lifecycle oversight
· Experience supporting or leading cloud security initiatives (e.g., migrations, assessments, or architecture reviews)
· Prior consulting experience or direct client engagement preferred, especially in healthcare or regulated industries
· Demonstrated ability to assess risk, communicate findings, and guide clients through remediation planning
· Experience contributing to service development, process improvement, or team enablement is a plus
TOOLS & TECHNICAL SKILLS
· Proficiency with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, and Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management
· Proficiency with patch management platforms such as NinjaOne, Action1, BigFix, and SCCM
· Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, including associated security tooling
· Familiarity with breach and attack simulation tools such as AttackIQ and SafeBreach
· Familiarity with security operations technologies including SIEM, EDR, and XDR platforms
· Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Monday.com
The base salary range for this role is $______95,000_____ to $___145,000_____. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state. Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and paid sick time. Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on elements unique to each candidate, including applicable candidate experience, skills, education and other factors permitted by law.
