The Sales Support Specialist helps drive regional growth by supporting sales teams with order management, customer service, and administrative functions. This position bridges internal departments and customer needs to drive growth, ensure operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Growth of Regions (10% YOY)
- Provide support to sales territories by addressing operational and administrative gaps.
- Manage order holds and pricing issues to ensure smooth customer inquiries.
- Assist with customer account setup and system access.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, order status, and lead times.
- Support RFP and bid preparation processes.
- Assist with rollouts to rep groups to ensure consistent execution.
- Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and customer service to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and training programs for regional teams.
- Maintain up-to-date customer records, pricing files, and product documentation.
- Track sales activity and prepare performance or pipeline reports for internal use.
- Support ongoing sales initiatives
- Identify Growth Targets
- Liaison for the Rep Group Inside Sales Support Team
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in inside sales, customer support, or project coordination.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; experience handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the Jan/San, manufacturing, or B2B distribution industries.
- Familiarity with ERP/order management systems.
- Understanding of project management principles
- Ability to analyze data to support sales decisions and track project KPIs.
- Strong customer focus with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
