Role and Responsibilities

An Estimator is responsible for the cost calculations to determine how much it will cost a company to complete a project or provide products and services to our clients. This position focuses on estimating projects including the installation of: geotextile liners, underground detention systems and engineered product solutions such as Hydroturf and more. They do this by researching the costs of the materials, transport, labor, equipment, etc. 

Duties and responsibilities

• Read plans and perform take offs
• Work with potential clients and project managers to understand project specifics.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and contractors within the specified timeframe.
• Preparing and submitting quotes and details of costs for work to be done.
• Setting up, planning and disseminating information for the job so the project management and field team clearly understand the parameters and are able to perform to the specifications. 
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the key vendors

Salary 40,000 – 60,000

Requirements

· Passion for the business, with a strong personal and professional interest in solving our clients’ problems

· Highly responsive, a multitasker and able to work in a fast-paced environment

· The ability to work under pressure to meet and set goals, budgets and deadlines

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, spreadsheets and estimating software

· The ability to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates 

· Time management 

· Strong understanding of the residential construction process 

· Analytical skills

· Attention to detail, team-oriented, drive to see work completed

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience underground detention installation, liner and containment installation; and/or engineered product solutions (HydroTurf, Flexamat and more)

· Experience of CRMs such as Zoho and/or service platforms such as ServiceFusion

· Engineering or construction experience a plus.
