Fort Worth ISD Additional Information: Show/Hide - Leads the District’s participation in salary surveys to benchmark, analyze, and collect competitive salary information to determine company’s competitive position.
- Drafts and maintains job descriptions and provides guidance on new and existing positions to management.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate job descriptions for all District positions.
- Conducts job analyses to determine appropriate salary levels according to compensation guidelines; reviews jobs to determine Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemption status.
- Assists with developing and updating the District’s compensation program, including the annual salary change process and monitoring adjustments to ensure accuracy.
- Researches and reconciles salary related data including base salaries, stipends, years of experience, job codes, and pay grades.
- Assists with the formulation of salary quotes for new hires and internal transfers.
- Reviews and conducts job analyses; recommends appropriate salary grades or market rates for specific jobs according to market driven guidelines.
- Compiles statistical information or prepares reports relating to compensation to ensure accuracy in data entry.
- Provides analytical, technical, and professional level support, and wage and hour law interpretation for District leaders.
- Researches and reconciles salary related data including base salaries, stipends, years of experience, job codes, and pay grades.
- Collaborates with divisions to resolve compensation Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) matters.
- Communicates with employees concerning salary related data and provides salary histories as requested.
- Provides salary information to employees per Compensation’s best practices.
- Responds to inquiries regarding specific positions, such as titles, pay grades, duty days, and salary ranges.
- Collaborates with Budget/Position Control to ensure appropriate approvals are obtained prior to creating/updating positions.
- Leads, maintains and updates position data; runs routine position/employee reports for consistency and reference when completing department projects.
- Leads the grant and State Comp Ed (SCE) funded JD acknowledgement system project.
- Partners with other Talent Management functions to prepare data and/or visualizations related to the annual staffing initiative.

- Skill at the advanced level working with Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Skill in researching and writing, with a strong knowledge of business correspondence formatting, including language, grammar, and punctuation.
- Skill in performing mathematical and financial calculations with accuracy.
- Ability to use qualitative and quantitative methods and tools for analysis, interpretation and decision-making.
- Ability to analyze and understand finance processes relative to payroll reporting.
- Ability to match District job descriptions with positions at other entities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Able to connect to a variety of audiences/levels within the organization.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work, while handling multiple tasks and tight deadlines.

- Education:

- Certification/License:
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Professional Human Resource (PHR), or related HR certification preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in compensation, human resources, or a related analytical field required.
- Experience with data analysis, HRIS systems, or compensation benchmarking preferred.
- Candidates with relevant internships, graduate assistantships, or project-based experience in compensation or HR analytics may be considered.
- Coding experience in Python or R preferred.
