As a midlevel React Native Engineer at Bilue, you craft fast, reliable mobile apps that feel effortless to use. You work in a high performing, cross functional, agile team of engineers, designers, delivery managers and clients. You help set the standard for quality, you care deeply about the details, and you turn real user needs into simple, scalable products that make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain reliable React Native features for iOS and Android
• Build pixel perfect user interfaces and integrate with native APIs and backend services
• Contribute across the agile lifecycle, planning, estimation, backlog refinement and iterative delivery
• Write clean, well tested code, use CI and take part in code reviews
• Ship small, frequent releases, monitor with analytics and telemetry, use data and feedback to guide decisions
• Troubleshoot performance issues, fix bugs and remove bottlenecks with support from seniors when needed
• Keep quality, security, accessibility and reliability in mind from day one
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers and clients, communicate progress, risks and trade offs
• Document your work and share knowledge with the team
• Assist with release management for the App Store and Google Play, including versioning and submission readiness

About You

• 4 to 5 years of commercial experience building mobile applications with React Native
• Clear written and verbal communication, comfortable with external stakeholders
• Able to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Experience with offline first patterns, background tasks and performance tuning
• Familiar with push notifications and cloud messaging services
• Comfortable with mobile performance optimisation, for example TTI, FPS, memory, bundle size and startup time
• Proficient with developer tools and debugging, for example Flipper, Xcode Instruments and Android Profiler
• Solid JavaScript and TypeScript skills
• Working knowledge of Git, Jira and Confluence
• Hands on with CI and release tooling, for example Bitrise, GitHub Actions, Fastlane, TestFlight and Google Play Console
• Strong React Native fundamentals, React Hooks, navigation patterns, state management such as Redux or Zustand, JSX, and common styling approaches such as StyleSheet or styled components
• Experience working in agile teams
• Native iOS or Android development experience development would be a huge bonus!
