The Role
We are looking for a unique individual who has experience as a Credit Officer and Payroll Support to join our team on a full-time basis. The responsibility of this role is to ensure high quality service is offered to clients (internally and externally), which is determined by accurate record keeping, close liaison with internal clients, stakeholder management, adherence to the established policies and procedures of the firm and by maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Liaising with clients or staff when insufficient information has been supplied to correctly receipt payments;
- Note remittance advice of invoice or matter number allocations;
- Collections and dispute resolution;
- Sending copies of tax invoices;
- General correspondence (letters of demand, acknowledgment of debt, etc.);
- Initiating trust transfers and write-offs;
- Sending out client account statements;
- Cash receipting;
- Uploading invoices into e-billing portals;
- Act as the main point of contact between staff and the external payroll provider, ensuring all payroll-related queries are managed efficiently;
- Liaise with the payroll provider to process payroll requests, changes, and updates accurately and on time;
- Work closely with the HR team to resolve payroll queries and ensure employee information is kept up to date;
- Partner with both HR and Finance to manage end-to-end payroll processes, including onboarding new starters, processing terminations, updating employee details, and coordinating fortnightly pay cycles.
Experience
The successful candidate will have strong previous experience in collections and payroll support, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment.
