About the role
TasNetworks is seeking a strategic, results-driven leader to join our team in this newly created role of Head of Commercial and Major Investments. In this senior leadership role, you’ll be responsible for driving the strategic financial outcomes of major business projects, financial transactions, and investments, contributing to TasNetworks' growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial and commercial advice on major projects and complex transactions.
- Guide the implementation of new business models, structures, and legal frameworks.
- Manage treasury activities, including capital structure, borrowing terms, and long-term debt planning.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure strong financial governance and effective subsidiary performance.
- Lead financial modelling and analysis to support strategic planning and drive profitable outcomes.
- Offer expert financial advice to the Executive, Board, and business leaders.
- Identify and implement initiatives that improve profitability and drive business growth.
- Develop long-term financial forecasts and oversee the Investment Governance Committee.
- Use technology to improve business performance and streamline operations.
