* This is a part-time (2 days/week) position.
IHRC, Inc. provides scientific, laboratory safety, bioinformatics, environmental health, and administrative program support to branches of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and other Federal agencies. IHRC is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant II to support the FDA’s Office of Occupational Safety and Health (OOSH) in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Administrative Assistant II will provide administrative and clerical support to the IHRC team and FDA OOSH personnel. This individual will work closely with team members to maintain accurate documentation, support meeting logistics, and contribute to high-quality deliverables by providing formatting, editorial, and records management assistance. The position requires on-site work two days per week at the FDA’s White Oak campus in Silver Spring, MD.
- Support scheduling, coordination, and documentation of meetings for OOSH and IHRC staff.
- Provide editorial support for non-technical content of various documents; support may include formatting, proofreading, grammar checking, and ensuring 508 Compliance.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic records and documentation using SharePoint and other systems.
- Track document versions and maintain version control logs.
- Assist in preparation and distribution of communication materials, announcements, and reports.
- Provide general administrative support as needed including data entry, filing, and document tracking.
- Assist with internal process improvement related to electronic records and document management.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous administrative or clerical support experience is preferred, especially in a professional or federal environment.
Required Skills:
- Native fluency in English with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Professional-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a federal workplace.
- Ability to work independently on-site two days per week in Silver Spring, MD.
- Native fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a part-time position without benefits.
