SALARY: The hourly rate for this position is $20.00.
This position is limited to a maximum of 35 hours per week, not to exceed 944 hours in a fiscal year.

A Business Analyst Intern will work on migration of legacy court processing applications as part of a mainframe green screen elimination project, which will modernize the Judiciary's mainframe applications into a web-based applications. The selected candidate will support the process of requirements gathering for online case management systems as well as documenting them using project management software (Pega Agile Studio). The intern will work closely with programmers and developers in the Information Technology Office to test applications and troubleshoot issues. As an intern at NJ Courts, the selected individual will learn about the development of automated applications using emerging technologies to improve delivery of services by one of the best courts in the United States. At the New Jersey Judiciary, interns work on real projects that make an impact on their community.

REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Position Duties
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
Minimum Qualifications
Thirty (30) credit hours from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree or certificate in fields related to Business Analytics, Computer Science or Information Technology.

Other Qualifications
Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.

Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
