Position: Family Counseling Program Supervisor

Location: Chicago, IL 60634
Schedule: Monday-Friday- Variable schedule; some evening and weekend hours may be required. This position is primarily community-based with some in-office time. Remote time may be available after an introductory period and subject to staff performance.
Salary: $58,000 - $65,000 (based on experience & qualifications)
Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Family Counseling Program Supervisor oversees 3-4 counseling staff under the MST program. Provides direct supervision of all client cases and ensures client safety as well as provides clinical guidance and direction in accomplishing treatment plan goals. Reviews and approves all staff paperwork and ensures compliance with funder requirements and program fidelity. Meets with MST consultant on a weekly basis to ensure adherence to the MST model. Conducts fidelity reviews of staff sessions. Writes reports and maintains grant/contract compliances. Conducts community outreach regarding referrals and provides community education regarding the program. Collaborates with other agencies and within agency to facilitate growth of the program. Provides back-up on-call coverage for the staff. Attends all meetings/trainings as required. Complies with all administrative duties of the role such as staff supervision, financial compliance, performance reviews, and disciplinary measures.
The primary focus of this program is to provide intensive counseling services to adolescents throughout the Chicagoland area who exhibit significant behavior issues. This program serves the entire Cook County area. Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) is an evidence-based, structured family treatment model that provides intensive therapy services (2-3x/week) to families in their homes and communities. MST is designed to treat behavior issues such as aggression, truancy, substance use, and delinquency. This is a short-term intervention of usually 4-6 months. Therapists carry low caseloads (max of 6 families) so as to maintain greater availability for the families. The team also provides a specialized version of the treatment model to address youth who have exhibited problematic sexual behavior (PSB). MST therapists work with the youth’s entire ecosystem and provide collaboration/ case management with other service providers involved with the family.
Position Opportunities:

Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or similar required. Clinical licensure (LCPC/LCSW/LMFT) or license-eligible within 6 months preferred.
- 2-3 years direct service experience such as counseling, case management, child welfare, etc with youth and/or families required. Counseling experience preferred.
- Valid Illinois driver's license and daily access to own vehicle required
- Able and willing to work a variable schedule and respond to crisis situations as needed
- Able and willing to accompany staff on site in clients’ homes/communities as needed for training, supervision purposes, or safety issues
- Able and willing to attend all in-person meetings and trainings in person as required. Some trainings may occur out of state.
