J&J MedTech Electrophysiology is recruiting a Professional Education Specialist to support education initiatives and activities related to Fellows’ education in the United States.  The primary focus of this role will be to work closely with the Professional Education Manager and stakeholders to design, develop, execute, and assess effectiveness of fellow’s training programs. They will also work closely alongside field sales and clinical teams to determine training gaps and unmet needs in fellows’ education.

Key Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, general direction, and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines, this position will:

  • Design, develop, promote, and deliver clinical educational program content for fellows in collaboration with KOL’s in the field of electrophysiology.  Content should incorporate stakeholder input and support including Health Care Compliance, Medical Science, Commercial Marketing, and fellowship program directors .
  • Contribute to fellows education strategy for aligned Areas, collaborating with area leadership to determine regional program priorities, and fellows’ engagement.
  • Collaborate with fellows champions in specified region(s) to ensure adoption of fellows learning curriculum, best practices, and transition to practice .
  • Implement strategy and assessment for new fellows’ programs, modifications of existing fellows’ programs based upon follow-up, customer satisfaction, utilization, and metrics from the Physician Education Database.
  • Create training tools and guides to the sales team, addressing unmet needs, quarterly assessment for existing tools and need for content change/ improvement.
  • Communicate program information, registration, and enrollment processes with BWI field sales personnel.
  • Refine event facilitation process creating ultimate customer learning experience.
  • Manage submission of new or revised educational content through copy review process to be approved by J&J Internal teams such as HEMA, HCC, Legal etc. (following required training).
  • Manage equipment logistics and work closely with the equipment team to support hands-on training during fellows’ programs. This includes managing the teams supporting the session through communication and outlining roles and responsibilities.
  • Communicate and collaborate with therapy advancement involving outgoing fellows information and transition to practice.
  • Develop processes to assess effectiveness, outcomes, and return on investment of programs via direct and indirect feedback.
  • Cross train with Professional Education teammates to support other Professional Education Programs as needed.
  • Attend key training programs, symposia, and conferences, support several with hands on simulation sessions.
  • Communicate business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Develop strong relationships with fellowship program directors, faculty and area fellows champions.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science with a minimum of five years of related experience is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 3 years of experience in the field of Electrophysiology in a customer-facing role
  • Familiarity with teaching institutions, program directors and EP specialty preferred
  • Expert clinical understanding of Electrophysiology, specific to mapping/ablation of complex arrhythmias
  • Strong Planning and Organizational Experience
  • Experience handling large quantities of data, including collection and analysis (advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Track record of success in a sales or clinical role

Preferred:

  • Experience handling key customer relationships and working with Key Opinion Leading Electrophysiologists
  • Past Program or Project Management Experience
  • IBHRE Certification
  • Advanced proficiency in Carto system and BWI products

Other:

  • This position can be based remotely in the US, weekend availability required to support fellows ed programs and may require up to 50% domestic travel

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
