Responsibilities
- Manage employee schedules and payroll through various systems
- Timely and accurate pay for contractors; semi-automated approval and coding through Basware System
- Promote a positive safety culture and enforce compliance
- Manage inventories (lumber, culverts, etc.)
- Manage technology in company equipment
- Ensure all company equipment (half-tons, storage facilities, etc.) are kept up to JDI standards
- Ensure all legal and environmental permit requirements are met properly
Qualifications
- Educational Requirements: Trade Certification/College Diploma or experience in forest road construction and maintenance
- Experience Requirements: 3-7 years in the forest industry
- Mechanical knowledge is considered an asset
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook)
- Strong team leadership skills
- Excellent ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize tasks to consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical and data-driven thinking
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills and able to work with minimal supervision
