JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for organizing, promoting, and conducting golf instructional programs. Provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere which will encourage residents and guests to have an enjoyable and safe time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
- Assure quality service within the instructional program.
- Utilize traditional teaching and learning theories and integrate the use of teaching aids and video analysis.
- Assist in marketing and promotional ideas for instructional programs.
- Work with all golf instructors to maintain golf ranges and conduct club fittings and promote equipment sales.
- Maintain the golf range and teaching areas to ensure that safe, clean, organized, and professional conditions exist throughout the day.
- Walk the range tee in between lessons to spread goodwill to members and guests, offer follow-up advice to existing students, and promote golf instructional programs.
- Participate at workshops, clinics, and golf schools.
- Maintain teaching aids and equipment inventory.
- Set up and maintain a well-organized teaching area on the range tee.
- Participate and offer professional advice at equipment demo days.
- Complete and distribute lesson notes on each individual lesson.
- Set up teaching areas, classroom, and supplies for assigned schools and workshops.
- Report personal lesson revenues and club commissions on weekly basis.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- May be expected to perform additional duties in an emergency.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Maintain Class “B” membership in LPGA or pass Level II of PGA Professional Training Program.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
- All candidates and employees must successfully pass background screening.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
Knowledge
- Experience with computerized video teaching system and Golf Academy teaching.
Skills
- Applicant must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Abilities
- Ability to read/write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
EQUIPMENT (Includes, but not limited to)
Position regularly requires the use of golf cart and office equipment, including but not limited to telephones, computers and productivity software.
