Skills Experience

  • Cross Functional Team Management & Leadership Skills

  • Knowledge in applying IATF 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, PFMEA requirements
  • Experience in all tools of Lean Management/ Principles

Main Tasks

LEAN Roadmap Definition & Alignment

  • Collaborates with plant and regional management to define the Lean roadmap aligned with global/regional strategy.
  • Ensures roadmap supports plant strategy and delivers measurable targets.
  • Accountable for meeting deadlines and achieving Lean objectives.
  • Leads target layout and value stream design for top product families to optimize space, flow, and throughput.

Lean Culture & Capability Building

  • Develops Lean experts and fosters a Lean mindset across the plant.
  • Identifies training needs related to the MANN+HUMMEL Production System (MHPS).
  • Coaches managers on implementing Lean standards and practices.
  • Promotes autonomy by training teams to lead workshops and improvement initiatives.

Operational & Logistics Improvement

  • Drives productivity improvements in line with budget and roadmap.
  • Acts as a methodological supervisor for waste reduction activities.
  • Facilitates and coordinates Lean workshops (Kaizen, Hoshin, VSM, 5S, SMED, Layout).
  • Proposes innovative concepts to enhance production and logistics efficiency.
  • Reports progress to plant and regional management using KPIs and metrics.

Implementation of Lean Tools

  • Deploys and ensures use of Lean tools and methodologies:
    • 5S for workplace organization.
    • Pull Flow Systems: Kanban, Milk-Run, Supermarkets, Batch Building Box, Heijunka.
    • VSA/VSM (eVSM) and VSD for value stream optimization.
    • TPM for equipment reliability.
    • SMED for quick changeovers, with regular reviews and tracking via dashboards.
  • Supports implementation of production planning and control tools.
  • Assists in deploying logistics, quality, and employee empowerment practices (e.g., Idea Management).

Governance & Best Practice Sharing

  • Ensures local Lean practices align with Group expectations.
  • Participates in writing and implementing continuous improvement procedures with MMS teams.
  • Acts as MHPS cross-assessor in other plants.
  • Ensures implementation and adaptation of Group best practices.
  • Secures Lean reporting and knowledge capitalization.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor/ Diploma in Engineering with 10-16 years of Exp (Mechanical/ Automobile Stream) preferred
  • Has exp. of working in Automotive Tier-1 organization, MNC experience preferred
  • Has hands-on experience as Lean Lead
  • This position will report to Plant Manager and It is Individual Contributor role.
