We have an excellent opportunity for an exceptional communicator who is motivated, detail-oriented and an organized self-starter with a “can-do” and optimistic attitude to assist our Marketing and Business Development department. The primary responsibility of this position is to support firm business development and marketing initiatives in collaboration with department team members, lawyers and professional staff.
Duties include but are not limited to:
The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the firm’s temporary Marketing & Business Development Assistant. The list is not exhaustive, and other duties are inherent, as necessary.
- Assist with event planning logistics, including on-site support.
- Support the Director of Client Services with activity tracking, mailings/email distributions, research, and related tasks.
- Research prospective clients, business contacts, competitors, industries, and markets.
- Provide support for social media activities such as scheduling posts, monitoring engagement and providing input on new strategies.
- Process lawyer business development expense reports.
- Coordinate firm sponsorship logistics.
- Update and maintain firm databases, mailing lists and contact lists.
- Assist with website updates (e.g., attorney bios, practice descriptions, news items)
- Oversee logistics for client entertainment activities.
- Coordinate the distribution of firm promotional items.
- Assist with year-end client gifting and holiday card programs.
- Maintain and update departmental presence on the firm intranet.
- Create and administer e-surveys for various internal and external uses.
- Help organize, update, and maintain the firm’s marketing collateral (e.g., bios, brochures, pitch materials)
- Generate and compile reports from firm systems (e.g., RFP tracking, sponsorship tracking, ERM)
- Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, organizing files, note-taking, proofreading, and editing materials.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with MS Office is required.
- Familiarity with any of the following e-solutions is a plus:
- Website CMS (backend) systems and/or Google analytics as it pertains to website statistics.
- E-marketing mailing platforms
- CRM/ERM systems
- Tracking and reporting databases
- Financial billing and reporting systems
- Adobe Photoshop
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent related work experience
